Thrift store computing

Thrift store computing is my less-radical more-practical take on Permacomputing. It acknowledges that in current society computers are actually plentiful not some scarce resource. This will (probably) be also true in post-collapse situation.

• use devices that you already have
• use existing software

• old devices are in unknown state, you need some skills to diagnose them
• you often need to reinstall computers before using it
