# Modular environment design choices

**WORK IN PROGRESS**

This is comparison of design choices of various node-based modular audio environments I encountered.

## Puredata

- has comments and intention is to be able to print PD patches
- different input/output on modules, input on top, output on bottom
- two kinds of cables - control (thinner) and audio (thicker)

## Sunvox

## Bespoke Synth

- inputs/outputs whatever that makes sense or inside module on controls
